if not California then what?

some people say that cali is not advisable for initial licensure for international nurses.....if so,then what state is advisable.... i am from the philippines. i failed my 1st,but would like to try again. for my 1st application i did apply for cali.state...pls share with me your opinions and suggestions....:confused:

But do not expect any changes, this has been their policy for years not something new. And actually more and more states are going to this as well.

reading the discussion above, I am an NCLEX passer from the Philippines. I don't have an SSN and licence yet. Knowing the 3 year grace period. You mean to say it is better to go to other states first?

Please name the states who does not destroy or has no grace period like CA.

There has been many threads that discuss this, main ones to avoid in my opinion is Ca and Florida and only go to Florida if that is definitely your end destination as Florida now has rules that is you endorse and haven't worked in original state for 2 years they won't endorse your license.
