Hi everyone,

I wanted to start this thread for the CSUN ABSN program for Spring 2024. I have a 3.8 in my science prereqs. I do not have any volunteer experience, but I will be getting my CNA and BLS certification this month. Application opens on June 6th and closes on August 1st (or earlier due to volume)! Let's connect here & good luck to everyone!

Hello,

I also applied the first day applications opened. I have a pre-requisite GPA of a 3.58. Unfortunately, I do not have any volunteer experience either I am hoping my statement of purpose is able to make up for any weaknesses in my application.

Same! This school is my top choice, mostly due to the length only being 15 months. Praying that I get selected for an interview at least!

Hii, I am applying again this term.

I just realized my chemistry course was from Fall 2015, does that fall right outside of their "within 7 year" policy? :((((((

Hello,

According to what I am aware of since it falls outside of the 7 year policy you might have to take that chemistry course again. I was told also they do not accept any in-progress work so you may have to wait until the next round of applications open up in the Summer. However, I wouldn't just take my word for it I would reach out to the department via email and explain to them your situation.

Hi Everyone! Good luck for applications! Sending blessings to all ❤️

Hi everyone,

@WinniethePooh11 thank you for creating this!

I just graduated from CSUN with 3.45 GPA and 3.3 GPA science pre req. I do not have any certification or medical licenses but I have worked as an ABA therapist and currently working at a clinic as a pediatric health case manager/ coordinator. I volunteered at California Hospital back in 2015-2018 but I don't think they will accept it because it was a long time ago.

I wish everyone good luck and wish everyone the best and hopefully all of us get accepted to a nursing program

Hi everyone!

im so happy this thread was made it's been hard for me to find much information on the applicant stats since the application process was so tedious. I just submitted my app and I had a prerequisite GPA of 4.0, undergrad of 3.9, CNA license, and have been working in home health the pass year. I'm still not confident though given how crazy competitive nursing is in CA!! Fingers crossed for everyone though.

Hi everyone,

Anyone applying to CSUN ABSN, was a CSUN alumni?

I want to ask if they will accept Chem 101/L for Chem 103/L?

maybe try reaching out to them via email? I emailed them with a question and they responded very promptly.

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone has an idea of the timeline for when we should hear back on the status of our application since applications closed in late July.

Hi,

Based on Spring 2023, a lot them received an interview invite mid October; and started hearing back from CSUN for acceptance, rejection, and waitlist by the end of November or beginning of December.

I think their process depends on how many applicants they receive.

I am just hoping they start to increase the number of students they accept for the program because it seems like they accepted more student last year compared to previous years.
