Where else did everyone apply to besides CSUN? Right now the only other school I’m applying to is Concordia University

I applied to CSU Stanislaus and CSU San Marcos! Stanislaus is a long shot because they give preference to people who live in the area but I did it anyways ??‍♀️

@hopefullyin11111

have you heard anything yet? They told me that I was #3 on the waitlist now so I just applied to Spring 2023 just in case!

@tatiana8284 no I haven't. I started at #5 on the waitlist and was told a few weeks back that I'm #1 on the waitlist now. Hoping I hear something back this week.

Do you think decisions will come out around the same time? Im scared that if we get into CSUN, the commitment deadline might be earlier than the acceptance date of Concordia.

Has anyone made a Spring 23' thread yet?

Just created a thread for those applying for Spring 2023!

Hi everyone! I'm looking to apply to CSUN ABSN program for fall 2023, but I don't see anything on the website yet about when that application opens. I have two pre-reqs left and plan to take them this upcoming Fall 2022, but I'm worried that the grades won't be posted on my final transcript before the application deadline, therefore making me ineligible to apply. For those who have applied to Fall cohorts in the past, do you guys remember roughly when the application opened, and around when it closed? Do you think if I complete my last two prereqs this fall semester I should be okay to apply for the following fall?

Hi! I’m in cohort 7 that starts this fall. Applications typically open in February so you should be fine. They close the application when they reach a certain number. Hope this helps! ?

Hi! Thank you, this helped a lot! If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats like to get accepted into this program? Or any sort of healthcare/ professional background? I know everyone is different but cant help but be nervous and curious as a first time applier ?

Hey! Just curious to know what clinical was like for you? Was it just shadowing or did you get to do stuff, or what? Thanks!

Hi!! Sorry for getting back to you late. Clinicals depend on the nurse you're assigned to for the day. I personally have never had a mean nurse, but I have friends who have had bad experiences with nurses who don't want students. You're allowed to do most things as long as your nurse or your clinical instructor are with you! I've attempted IVs, put in Foleys, passed medications (oral, IV, subcutaneous, suppositories, etc), primed IV lines, inserted an NG tube. If you're not practicing your skills, don't be afraid to ask or to tell your instructor! You're there to learn and you should be able to make the most of your short time in the program!!
