Hello there! I am trying to decide if I should apply or not. I've already started the application but have not submitted it yet. CSUN's ABSN was originally my first choice but I've already been accepted into Moorpark's ADN program and considering just doing ADN-BSN because it is soooo much cheaper it's wild. But the 15 months is much faster and super appealing. It's all so confusing. My stats are 3.5 undergrad GPA, 4.0 in pre-reqs, CNA license. Don't feel like I am super competitive because I don't have a lot of job experience in health care. How about you??
Hello Julia,
The only reason that I am applying to CSUN is because I am older and don't really have time for the 2 year program. But it is definitely much cheaper and the better route as it is slower and you get way more hospital experience, and you get breaks in between where you can work. I did apply to two year programs as well though my preferred option is CSUN. I have a 4.0 prereq, 3.6 GPA undergrad. I did lots of volunteer hours. Just hoping for the best. Good luck to you whatever you decide. I heard good things about the Moorpark Nursing Program.

I applied today, don't really have much healthcare experience but I am hoping for the best. Undergrads 3.3, prereqs 3.8.
Hey everyone! I submitted my application for CSUN ABSN fall 2022! I have a 3.8 prereq & cumulative GPA. I have 5 years of pharmacy experience and wanted to work on getting my CNA license but made my mind up too late. I’m hoping I’ll still be considered - CSUN is one of my top schools because of the shorter length & high NCLEX rates. Good luck to us all & thank you for making this thread!!
Hi everyone! I also applied today. I have a 3.2 undergrad GPA and a 3.4 pre-req GPA. I have a little volunteer experience working with kids but most of my healthcare experience is on the administration side. I've also recently just received my CNA license and have that experience as well. Good luck to everyone!
