Just wanted to start a forum for those planning to apply for the ABSN program at CSUN during Spring 2021.

 I read on a previous cohort blog that they narrow things down to 60 people to do an interview and then choose 30 students from the 60. I’m not sure if they are doing that process for this semester. Does anyone have any idea on when they will be sending out the acceptance letter?

@Itseri Based on the prior statement of @rose453 of 3 weeks and last year's cohort acceptance letter dates (November 17th); I would say we can expect letters by November 20th. Granted this year is a crazy ride and they may be delayed due to the new video format interviews. I imagine that sorting through this information for the first time might be more difficult than mass in-person interviews over a day or two, but I think they will probably give us news in time to talk about it at Thanksgiving dinner. As always, good luck! The waiting game is the hardest part, but we will get through it! ❤️

@Ronnathelion that’s very true. Thanks for that information. I probably will step away from checking CSUN email for a little so I don’t stress myself out ? did you happen to get the interview email?

Oh reallY!?! ?  Some have gotten in without interviews, at least from previews forums I've read, or they didn't mentioned an interview. Perhaps they might be doing things differently this year due to COVID. I feel each year they change their way of doing things with applicants?. Nonetheless, it does say on their website that "A PERSONA INTERVIEW MAY BE REQUESTED", so IDK. WE JUST GOTTA KEEEP CHECKING right until November ??? ???

I didn’t get the email for the video interview but I’m still hoping that good news come next month. We have to keep being patient and hope for the best! We got this!

They probably do change the way they run things every year. Especially with COVID, I’m sure a lot of things are different this year than the rest. Who knows ??‍♀️. But all we can do is just wait patiently . Definitely easier to say than done ?
