Good day,

I wanted to learn more about this group of facilities in Oceanside. I searched and there is not a whole lot to find/old but not much new. Does anyone work for this facility and what is the city like? Hubby is interviewing here for a leadership role and I am trying to gather more information. I did hear it is a costly place to live.

Thanks for anything you are willing to share.

I am from Oceanside.. I actually don't live there anymore (my hubby is Air Force) but I was born at Tri-City hospital..;) Don't know anything about the hospital though!

What specifically would you like to know about Oceanside?

I have lived in North San Diego County my whole life, I know Oceanside pretty well and know a few classmates that went to work at Tri City. What do you want to know?

Tigerlily thanks for the reply. I am just wondering it if is a nice, safe place. I am living in the Columbus Ohio area and the crime is just climbing to fast for me. Over I think, 110 murders in 2005. Lots of home invasions etc.

I checked out the chamber website and it seems like a very nice place.

I am so sorry I missed this question somehow.

Well, Oceanside is a military town, the Camp Pendleton base is there. But Tri-City Hospital itself is actually on the east end off a faurkt large fwy in between Oceanside and another town. I consider it to be a nice, safe area. Don't know what our crime rates are, I've lived here my whole life and so far (knock on wood) have not been burglarized or murdered nor do I know anyone who has for that matter :)

I imagine the cost of living will be much higher than what you are used to. Housing prices have tripled in the last ten years around here, it's pretty ridiculous. Average home is $500,000.

Thank you so much for the response. I heard the prices were sky high. Hubby has had several interviews but I think there are still more needed plus a face to face meeting.

I appreciate your responding.

Just for an update. Huby is on interview #4 and is going to fly out around 2/6 or so to do a face to face interview.
