CSU San Marcos absn 2009

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello,

I am new here to allnurses.com so bear with me. I was wondering if anyone applied to the absn program at CSU San Marcos for summer 2009? Have you heard anything back yet?

Hey guys! Sorry for getting back to you so late, Sarah. I don't seem to know how to use the PM function correctly on this site =\. In any case though, I arrive at Temecula wednesday night ( and I just checked the weather...and I'm hoping that the storm doens't set back any of our flights! Looks like me and Amy are going to have to fly out of Sac in the rain!) I'm going to have to check into my hotel, and wanted to drive around the area to check it out before the sun sets. I'm totally down for dinner with everyone, but at this time I need to figure out the time frame for everything.

You will be able to send PM's once you have 15 posts. After you have 15 posts, you may send a private message to a member by clicking the 'Send New Message' link in the private messaging section of your user control panel, or by clicking the page_edit.gif 'Send a Private Message' icon that appears in a member's posts when you click on their username.

So I was wondering, since I will be at the main campus, Who is also admitted into the main San Marcos campus? It seems that this group is mostly for the Temecula campus and I am greatly outnumbered!

hey everybody!

I went down to Temecula today to check about a half dozen places out. Im optimistic!! I found one 3br apartment i really liked, eliminated a couple places, and i drove past a few houses that also look really nice too! at least now we'll have a couple of places to look forward to :) With the houses we'll have to call and set up appointments to see them, but for the most part I saw some nice potential places. Im surprised and happy to admit i was wrong on this one :) Temecula isnt so bad! lots of shopping centers, grocery stores, etc. cant wait to meet you all!

Becca, Amy, Jimmy or anyone else who wants to maybe meet up wednesday night, lemme know when/if you guys want to meet up, i need to know if i should get a room or not. Have a great rest of your weekend!

Hey guys!

It's getting close! I've been busy taking and rearranging conflicting finals, so I've pretty much put my Temecula planning on hold this past week. I'm trying REALLY hard not to blow off all of my finals! I'm so glad you guys are still looking into things.

Sarah, so you give the place your approval huh? Hurray! I haven't had a lot of time lately to look into houses, but I was pretty much using craigslist, so you are probably finding the same ones. I did find a website (on craigslist) for pet friendly rentals :) http://affordablemanagement.com/pet-friendly-rental-homes.php

So I'm with Jimmy, I'm a bit too lazy to deal with waking up early and driving on Thursday, so it's all about the hotel room! I haven't booked one yet though, has anyone else?

Becca, did you hear it's supposed to snow tomorrow? How cool! I just hope (like you said) it doesn't affect our flights! I was going to suggest a doggie playdate/meetup... but wet muddy dogs are not too fun!

db44- I think that the Temecula group has kinda taken over this thread, sorry! But congrats on getting into the San Marcos campus, I think that was most people's first choice, and I've heard a lot of great things about that campus.

Hey All,

I just got a room at the Rodeway Inn. I have AAA so i got it for $54 total. That was the cheapest I found. Go book it on their website if you want the AAA discount. Its gonna be so nice not having to deal with traffic and the weather Thursday morning. So. Cal drivers and any sort of rain/weather = disaster on the roadways! LOL!!

Hey All - Geez, looks like I've been missing out! Sorry for slacking a bit. Been up in Seattle with family for turkey day and whatnot. Hope all had great times and full bellies. :)

I've read the past few pages of postings and I'm up ... or down (whatever the kids are saying these days), for lunch after orientation, but I'll have to skip out on the apartment hunting. One, I have to get back to work, but two, I think I'm going to continue living here in SD for the first semester and make the 3 day a week drive up there. I've got lease obligations that I could possibly get out of, but for now, I'll just see if I can deal with the drive and try to use the hour and change commute by listening to the lectures on the road. I'd definitely like to know where people are living, though, so that when I do move up there in a few months I can hopefully find a place somewhat close to others ... for late night study sessions, pot luck dinners, Easter egg hunts, or what have you. Ha, sorry, just being a dork.

But for reals, looking forward to meeting everyone. :)

hey have been off the site for a while. was wondering how many people are meeting up for lunch after orientation?

I am, I'll come the night before too, just not sure what time we're meeting or where...six thirty or six seems good to me...but any time after that im free, just let me know.

Im doing lunch after orientation and dinner the night before also. I have no idea how many people we will end up with at lunch after orientation. There were lots of places around there to eat. Since everyone seems pretty preoccupied with school and stuff, would anyone be opposed to just meeting at Chilis Wednesday night? There is one on Winchester and Ynez Rd, right off the freeway. I dont really know people's preferences so I figure its safe, its cheap and most people have probably eaten there. If anyone has any other suggestions, PLEASE feel free to suggest. If all else, we can just meet up at the place I'm staying at or where someone else is staying and then decide who wants what :0) im up for whatev.

I'm completely fine with Chilis..what time though? if we need suggestions for lunch the next day...might i suggest souplantation? dunno if there is one near though...(hehe i have buy one get one free coupons..i guess that only works if we have an even number of people eating..)

6:00? That will give me time for any traffic and checking into my room. if that doesnt work for everyone, let me know. Im just suggesting cuz no one else is :)
