Accelerated BSN programs in California?

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey everyone,

I am trying to research ABSN programs out here in California and I want to make sure I've found them all. Please let me know if I have left any out.

Thanks so much!

Here's what I found:

CSU Stanislaus

CSU LA

CSU Fullerton

CSU LB

CSU San Marcos

San Francisco State University

Loma Linda

Mount St. Mary's

UCI

Concordia University

CSULB and UCI doesn't have an ABSN program. CSULB is traditional only and UCI has a new direct entry MSN program. Your list is missing Samuel Merritt's ABSN program.

Thank you!

Do you have any input on the quality of any of these ABSNs?

I don't think SF State has one either.

Specializes in 10yrs previous EMT experience, currently CNA..

You can also apply for 2 Year MSNs in California too. Look at UCLA and California Baptist University.

I am planning my attendance at UCLA's MECN program starting September next year. 2 years and pretty much the same requirements minus the HESI and TEAS exams that are not required. California Baptist does a PAX exam, UCLA does not have any of those.

I had not consider these. I very much appreciate it!!

University of San Diego and Azusa Pacific both have entry level Master's programs. Both for an unGodly amount of money. Which is ironic since they are both Catholic, I believe.

If you are in Southern CA, has a 2.5 year BSN program. (the entire programs costs about $25,000).

Lol! You're funny.

Oh and I don't know why I forgot, but National University has ABSN program my friend goes to it. Also, Samuel Merritt University in Nor Cal.

Thank you centercourt2015, I will look into those.

The process of figuring out where and when to apply (ASN? BSN? MECN? MEPN? Accelerated? Traditional? etc. etc.) seems harder than the prereqs at times, and I am grateful for the help.

Specializes in PHN and OR.

Is that school in Southern California ? I live in Los Angeles
