If you are from a foreign country and wanted to apply for NCLEX which is better and faster to apply? Is it in California or in Nevada? please help for I am really confused. Can I get my license right away if i apply in any of these states?
Thank You very much

I do not know what is faster and better. But after the evaluation of your transcripts you can work as a graduate nurse for 6 months in CA and if you want in NV it is just 3 months.

I advise you to contact the Board of Nursing directly for each state you are thinking of residing in when you move to the US. Only they will be able to tell you the procedure for having your transcripts, etc evaluated and how long it will take for licensure.

Thanks a lot! May I have a follow up question?
They said that before getting a license in California, you need to have a U.S. Social Security number? how can i obtain one if for example I am still here in the Philippines? Does Nevada have the same requirement after passing the NCLEX or can you take your license right away?
Sorry, I don't know the answer to that one. I'd contact the State of Nevada and State of California's Nursing Boards for the answer if I were you. Good luck.
