Hello Everyone!
I took my exam in the beginning of February and I am waiting on my results. California does not do the quick results so I am just waiting. The wait is driving me a little crazy and I am just sitting here hoping I passed. I just want to know if anyone is waiting for their results with me. I have a couple questions for anyone who took it recently in California.
How will I know I passed or failed?
How long did you wait to know your NCLEX results?
Thanks! And Good Luck everyone! I am always praying for everyones success! This journey isn't easy but never give up!

Well...... in July of 1982 the NCLEX-RN was given for the first time in CA (replacing the previous multi-part test). I took that exam. Because it was the first time that exam had been used in CA, there were some "kinks" to be worked out. As a result.... we didn't get our results until October. Yes, you read that right. We tested in July and got results in October! It was so long a delay that the board extended our GN permits!
It was a grand time... two days of testing in a convention center, on paper, surrounded by hundreds of other examinees, followed by months and months of waiting for results! :)

Hello! I stumbled upon your post and wanted to see if you ever got your results? I just took mine last week on Wed. 3/15/17 in CA and I haven't received my results yet. How long did it take to get yours? I feel exactly how you felt in this post.

I took the exam yesterday and was done around 3:15 pm. I got 75 questions and felt so-so about how I did. I had a LOT of SATA and quite a few ordering and prioritizing questions. I read that the test shuts off when it is either 95% sure that you meet the standards or 95% sure that you don't meet the standards. I certainly don't feel like I did so bad that they could be 95% sure I don't meet the standards in a matter of 75 questions. I've been crazy anxious to get my results. I tried the PVT a few times now and every time I do it, it doesn't allow me to pay, it gives me the "our records indicate blah blah blah..." which was I guess a little reassuring. My breeze account shows my application as still pending/open. However, under applicant activities, it shows me two options: "change address" and "RN exam repeat/reapply examination". Does the presence of that available activity option mean that I failed?! When I saw that, my heart started pounding. I REALLY don't want to wait 45 days and retake the darn thing. :'(

Did you find out the result? I would like to know because I'm in the same situation. Thank you!
Hi! Yes I found out the results! I took the test on Monday afternoon (7/17/07) and found out Wednesday morning (7/19/07) that I passed! YAY! I didn't get an email or anything telling me my results, I just went and checked my breeze account first thing in the morning... for like the 1,000,000th time since I took the test and there was my RN number. As a matter of fact, my PearsonVue account still shows "results not available" under my exam history, so don't count on them. I did hear from someone in my online BSN program that she took the test in San Diego and had to wait 2 months to find out so I think it REALLY varies depending on where you took the test. My test was in Fairfield, CA.
When did you take your test?? Good luck, I hope you passed!

YAY! Congratulations new RN. I'm happy for you and feel relieved because I also have an option of RN repeat/reapply. someone posted that if you pass, you should not have that option which made me feel so worried.
I took the test on Aug 1 at 8 AM. I'll check on breeze tomorrow morning. Hopefully, the pvt works for me.
Thank you so much for answering my question :))
