California Fires/Ventura??

Does anyone live in Ventura? I live in Ohio and cannot get ahold of my brother which I always can. I am listening to KATV in Ventura on the web and it sounds like a fire in Santa Paula is heading right towards them??????

Can anyone living there tell me if this is true?

I work on the 6th floor and when I looked out the window a couple of days ago to catch what usually is a wonderful view of the ocean/bay/navy ships/Coronado bridge there was a brown haze laying low over the horizon. Later I realized it was from the fires. I don't think any are in San Diego but perhaps I'm wrong? It seems like we have this every year huh. I live in East County and it gets too close here (the fires and smoke, and ash falling) Just keep your N95 masks on because after a few hours your lungs will start to hurt from all the junk in the air.
