I am about to go to school for LVN. Student loans will be 40K + interest and I wanted to know what the realistic pay scale for a brand new LVN in the California Bay Area is? I have read different things on websites so aside from that, I wanted the real truth from the real people doing the work.
All help is appreciated and wanted. Opinions are encouraged. And thank you to everyone in advance that is willing to help me.
There are LVN jobs, they are just in long term care ie. nursing homes. LVN's are becoming more and more restricted in where they can work. The LVN's in acute care are being phased out and replaced with RN's. I chose to work for the state mainly because of the retirement. I highly recommend this to you, as you are close to where I work. BigB, I'm also about to spend over 30000 for a lvn program in Sacramento and it sounds like you had good advice so I was hoping you could give me advice before I start the program and spend so much money.
