Hello,
I know it's still a bit early, but I was wondering if anyone is applying for the Fall of 2016 program at Calhoun?
I took my test today, and finished with a 93 on the science portion, and 92 on the math. My best advice is to purchase the ati study guide and online practice tests. These were my main sources of study. Because I haven't had math in 15+ years, I did watch a few Khan Academy videos. I scored higher on the actual exams than I did on the practice. Also Google "How I passed the TEAS" It's a post on this site, that provided some useful guidance. Hope this helps.
That sounds kind of strange. I was under the impression that you could take it anywhere, but that if you took it somewhere else, you had to pay a fee to transfer it to your school. I would double-check that. If you're cut out for nursing school, you won't need to take it more than once. Obviously I don't know you or your study habits, but I'm going to assume you're a smartie:) I studied roughly a month for the teas, and that includes the craziness of all the holidays. I took the first practice exam online, and scored in the 60's. It gives you a printout of what you need to focus on. I then read all of the science and math sections, paying special attention to those areas I needed extra focus. I did not study at all for the other sections, since they don't count, but you have to do them on the practice exams, so that helps. I then took the other online practice to see where I stood. I reread science and math, and practiced my weak spots. I took one more practice exams the day before the test (you can take each online one twice). Now granted, this is what worked for me, but it was a pretty solid strategy. Tweak it however you feel. Don't know how old you are, but if you're younger mist of this material should be fresh. I hadn't taken math for years, lol. Have confidence, study hard, and you will rock it :)
Lol, not young anymore. I retook math last spring as it didn't transfer from my first go at college, but the science part is what has me a bit stressed. I emailed Drake's testing center directly as I was under the impression I could take it there as long as I paid the transfer fee. They emailed me back saying that it was only for their students. I'm only taking general psychology this semester so I'm hoping I will have more time to focus on TEAS prep. I have an ATI book, and another TEAS prep book. Thank you for the advice. I've been completely ignoring anything other than the science and math section. I registered tonight, so I've got 7 weeks to study!

That's good to know. I'm planning to go in February as well. I want to make sure I have everything basically down by the time by March so that I have some buffer room in case something happens. I have two little girls so life tends to be a bit unpredictable at times lol.
