Calhoun Community College Nursing Program Spring 2025

Published

Hi Future Nurses, my name is Trae and I created this post as an outlet for us that applied or plan on applying to the Spring 2025 Nursing Program at Calhoun Community College. Let's chat, keep each other occupied, and pass the time until those acceptance letters drop, and then we can continue to motivate and help each other in class, at clinical, study groups, etc...

I am so excited and somewhat nervous at the same time ( but I know my anxiety will kick in as it gets closer to the time for letter send outs LOL).

If there are any current nursing students that can give us pointers on how to prepare for our first term, what to start studying to get ahead, and things in that nature...Please do reply and fill us in. Thanks!

Good & Positive Vibes to ALL on their endeavors!

If you got into the Nursing Program at Calhoun for Spring 2025, send me friend request on Facebook and let me know that you got accepted into the program. I want us to get a group started so that we can study, go over material, etc.. My Facebook @Trae McCreary

Hey guys! So I'm late to this post but I finally found one for Calhoun's nursing program! By this time we've attended nursing orientation. How are you guys feeling so far about the program? There were ALOT of people. Definitely more than I expected there to be....
I'm currently Working on finishing up getting everything sent in! Oh and what about the math quiz given during orientation? It was the basics but for me it's been a while since doing very basic math! Haha. Anyway- hope you guys are well & ready to start nursing school!!

@Brittney Barfield It was a huge group of us. I'm excited for what's to come. The math quiz was so unexpected LOL but I have to do the Star Institute tutoring for that quiz because I missed by a few points. I'm basically just waiting to be cleared to register because I have everything turned in and done.

Yes!!  I had the health packet done the first week it was sent out but I had to find a CPR class to take! So that was my hold up but I do the skills portion soon! I'm excited as well && I'll have to do the tutoring as too. LOL glad to know I'm not alone in that. Anyway congratulation's girl!  🎉 🍾

* I'll have to the tutoring too!

Congrats to you too girl...we got this!

Do anyone know if Calhoun would accept my HESI A2 scores from another school? Or does it have to be taken at Calhoun for the nursing program ?

Has anyone heard anyone recently getting accepted in the score range of 20ish?

@Shante Nicole I went to the info session back in August and they urged us to take the HESI with Calhoun due to some test sections being omitted and there being a chance of being able to use the test score but IDK if they will or will not accept the scores for sure.

@Tmm28 I have heard of a score as low as 27 or 28 but it could be lower, but I'm not really for sure on the lowest score for acceptance. It could be different every semester.
