i don't know how the spring semester is, but i know it only took 31 points to get in this past fall and you far exceed that! you will have to let me know if you get in! i am feeling like this semester may not be my time, but so excited for you girls! woo!!?

I wish they would go ahead and send out our letters. I have been stalking my Calhoun email for the past week. The anticipation is killing me!! LOL. Last semester they sent out the letters a week early.

Keep the faith girl. I started as a CNA so long ago, LPN 20 years ago and now here I am again ?

I believe I have 45. I took those prerecs when I was about 20 and didn't care, so my grades were very "meh". Thankfully, I had a strong ACT to carry me. Aced the test, so that's ten points. Most people I've spoke with have between 34-39 points.
I did speak with someone who said that she'd been told only 79 applied and there are typically 150 applicants. It looks like they take 36.
So good luck and hope to see you in class! I just want to get this thing done. Should have done it 15 years ago, but c'est la vie!

Only 79 LPN's applied or only 79 people in all applied? I know they take 112 students, but I can remember if that includes alternates. It would be a dream to all of us girls in class together! ❤️

Okay, I think I have confused myself. Out of the 112 students they accept for the Spring semester, that includes LPN's and first time nursing students right? So we are all competing for the same program? I just want to make sure I got this right haha

@kjocres If you have As in all of your classes, you have 45 points. The GPA isn't an additional set of points, it's just a minimum requirement.
You add up: ACT + Points for four core classes ( A=3, B=2) and the ten points for the dosage exam.

@rjellew No. They are separate.
If you check the registration for Spring 2019, there were 119 total seats in 112, i.e. 119 accepted to the full program.
There were 36 total seats in 209, i.e. the mobility program.
They can change those numbers as they see fit and it isn't always a set number. If they only have 32 that they think can actually succeed in the mobility program, they can choose to only take 32. Like if there are 32 students with 38 or more points and then a bit gap and the rest are 34 or lower, that would be a reasonable place for a cutoff. Same with the full program. These are general ballparks of how many are typically accepted in a given semester based on past trends and what we have heard directly from the nursing department staff.

Alright y'all, I just got off the phone with DJ herself and these are the numbers she gave me:

79 bridge students applied/36 will be accepted

289 traditional students applied/112 will be accepted
