Calhoun Community College Fall 2017

Published

Just starting a page for people applying for Calhoun's Fall 2017 Nursing Program. Feel free to post ACT scores, and GPA for comparison. I have a 22 on ACT and a 3.75 GPA, hoping this will get me in since I have completed all my basics.

Okay so that wasn't the issue then. And did you complete all the general education courses or just the bare minimum for application? I have every class needed for graduation except the nursing core courses.

I have every other class completed as well. With A's, Micro included.

what was your overall GPA?

If they were calculating it from the four required courses a 4.0. Overall it's a 3.5 after my mini semester grades were factored in. During the application process I called and asked twice to make sure and they said they would only be making sure the 2.5 overall minimum was met and then what they used was based on the 4 classes. Which I had A's in those. I am so glad I found the forum again, y'all are super helpful! I hate to immediately send them an email but I'm panicking over here ha ha

no problem. Always go above and beyond the minimm

I'd email them as I heard the cutoff was 36.43 or something like that.

I did! Thanks for the help. Hopefully I will get an answer soon!

I figured my points are 38.5. So why am I an alternate? I'm not sure though about everything...what are the general ed courses? Is that just the AP, math, and english? Also, I didn't take math 100...I took several higher math courses...which one would count?

any of those would count

they also look at courses completed besides the bare minimum on the application
