Calculations/Pharm study aid books?

Posted

Jeff state standard seems to be Calculate with Confidence. Anyone have any reccomendations, or books that their Nursing schools reccomend? We gotta know it before class starts, figured I should start early.

calculate with confidence is an excellent book. you may want to check out the nursing made easy books. they have one for dosage calculations and pharm.

Calculations of Drug Dosages is my textbook name... I really love it and it comes with a cd that helps as well. the best advice I can give is to learn which solving method is going to work for you... (deminsional analysis, formula, etc...) and to stick which it like glue! good luck and feel free to ask anything on here it has really helped me in the past!!

Where do you get this book from with the cd and all. I WILL be attending wallace in january and would love to know where to find this book or is it one set book that every school uses ?

I got the calculations made easy book. Looks very straight forward, was a bit pricy @ 45 bucks, but looks very easy to digest. Sofar so good

sorry i have taken sooo long to reply... i got all of my text books off of amazon. if you get a book list from your school do an online search for them before just buying them from the school bookstore, you can usually find better deals online! i saved over $300...

I thought we (Wallace) had to have calculate with confidence.

Wallace students dohave to have calculate with confidence. It is the main book you will be using in pharmacology for your first semester.

Okay wallace students how to have Calculate with confidence. I can get this from the book store or it doesnt matter?

Is calculate with confidence our actual textbook for wallace? I have dosage calculations made easy now, trying to study through it to prepare for the class.

My understanding is that we have to have calculate with confidence. When do we have the test? So streesed about studying for finals, and trying to study for that test.

You will be using the Calculate with Confidence at Wallace State and the book tells you pretty much how to do everything because the teacher is hard to understand. I'm not the best at math and it took me until the day before I took my test to really catch on to it. You don't take your test where you have to make at least a 90% until right before Finals starts. If you pass then you can just concentrate on your other classes. Make sure you do your homework for the chapters needed before each test and you will be ok! I didn't and suffered because of it. I now have to take the Math Validation over once again but I know I will pass it because it was careless mistakes that I made so just be careful and do your best. Make sure you find your formula and stick with it. I changed my formula the day before Math Validation because I didn't know how to do it the other way because I hadn't did my homework!

This may be a little bit late, but if Wallace is anything like Jeff State, you will do math tests every semester.
