Hello :]
Is anyone planning to apply to Cal States for fall 2010? If so please give feedback and info on Cal States that you may be interested. :chuckle
Well, it is Oct. 3rd. Applications for the CSU opened on Thursday. Has any one applied like crazy to CSU campuses?
Any thoughts on your minds to where to apply?
I've only applied to SFSU and Fresno State yesterday. I will send my nursing applications as well for SFSU. I'm thinking about another round of applications for Sacramento, Chico, and Stanislaus, but I'm very sure I won't need to. Besides the fact that I havent taken an organic chem course too.
Maybe Bakersfield and Humboldt as well again, if I don't get in for their spring 2010.
The philosophy class i'm referring to is this:
PHIL 20 Moral Questions (3)|PHILO 122 Introduction to (3)
| Ethics at DVC
It's listed on assist.org as a prerequisite, but God knows that site is always wrong. It may just be a corequisite! I'm still debating on whether i'm going to start applications for CSUs now, or if I'm going to wait to see if I heard back from SMU first. The e-mail I got from them says they'll let us know end of October...so that's atleast still before the deadline. But I also sort of want to just get it over with. I just don't want to spend a billion dollars on application fees that I don't need to spend.
Ugh.

yea bluechick, that phil course is a coreq. it says it on the fresno's site. here, take a look
http://www.csufresno.edu/chhs/depts_programs/nursing/about/prospective.shtml
it's all about their FAQs.
about SMC, good luck! your waiting torture is almost over! my torture doesn't end until before Christmas for Bakersfield. What a nice Christmas present that'll be...
anyways, I think you should wait to see until you get in SMC or not. unless you really want to apply now because of the budget cut fiasco and the space availability.
SFSU nursing supplement is a pdf last time i checked? Can you do it via csumentor?
nope.
csumentor is for applying to the univeristy itself via email.
Then you need to apply to the school of nursing separately, that's why their application is in a pdf file. you send that to them via mail along with your other supporting documents in one big brown manila mail folder.
Did you already get accepted in CSUB in general before applying to the nursing program there. On the application it says you need a CSUB ID first
good question. I was not accepted to CSUB when I applied to the nursing school, though I had already applied to CSUB in general. I had to ask CSUB admissions what was my CSUB ID number, but I waited until I thought they had seen my application, and then gave me an ID number. If not, you can just ask them directly. I'm sure they'll give you the ID number knowing that you are going in the nursing major.
It seems as if you are applying to CSUB. Good luck, and best of all for the interview! Remember, think of the interview as an opportunity to show them who you are, and what you are truly made of!

What Philo class are you talking about? I have not taken any philo classes, and I applied yesterday to their school.
I think the philo class you are talking about is a corequisite, not a prereq.
