Hey everybody!
So I've decided that I want to go to CC and transfer to a cal state, but I really don't know much about any of the cal state's nursing program aside from SDSU & SFSU.'
From what I heard, SDSU & SFSU have really good nursing programs, so I do plan on applying there. But, I don't know what other cal states to apply for since I don't know much about them. So can I have some insight about what cal states I should apply for and how they're like?
Thank you!
EDIT: I'm also trying to get into a BSN program.

This website Welcome to ASSIST may be able to help.
You can see what nursing classes you need to transfer from your CC to a Calstate or UC.

Hi stormii,
I haven't researched all of the CSUs; however, I know about a decent amount of them in NorCal. I can tell you most of them share the same prerequisites. That being said, some of them require the 5 unit MicroBio class instead of the 4 unit, or this chemistry instead of that chemistry, so it's best to double check on their individual websites.
In terms of quality of programs, all of them that I have researched are well known and have a solid reputation locally (Sacramento State, SF State, CSU East Bay, etc).
Most are very impacted and very tough to get into. Some of them post the applicant pool data to give you an idea of what you need. Sac state had an average GPA last semester of 3.99 and an average TEAS score of 92.5 as an example.
Best of luck to you on your pre-nursing journey!
