Not to put a damp on your enthusiasm, but I did receive an out of office from one of the advisors today. There were no dates on it, so it could have been from last week and there could be others in the office to send out acceptances. Hopefully it is old or just for today and they will go out soon.

The Out of Office is something I get all the time, it doesn't mean they're out of the office. It's sent out to tell people they get a lot of email.

So I still haven't heard anything ... but just wanted you to know that I found out today that I got into Cal State Long Beach's ELMSN program so if I get a letter to San Marcos I will be declining the acceptance which will open up a spot. Good luck to everyone... I will see you in the field!!!

Hi Everyone!

Has anyone applied to the program recently, like a couple of months ago? I applied about 6 weeks ago and sent my TEAS score 2 weeks ago and still have not heard a thing from them. I understand they're inundated with so many application, however I haven't even received a confirmation email or receipt for my TEAS score. Every time I email my counselor it takes a few days to get a response. I've been trying to wait patiently, but I am just so anxious to get the ball rolling and finally get into a program! I know that it can take 2 weeks to 2 months to even hear back from them...anyone else in my situation?! If only the state wasn't in so much debt, then perhaps CSU could afford to hire more faculty! Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else was in my shoes. Please Share any information! Thanks!

Get used to it. There are 1000s applications for 88 spots. Unless you have straight As and in the high 90s on the TEAS, you will probably be waiting around for a while. A response from the counselor within a week is a good sign and pretty prompt, actually.

The first thing I'd do if I was you is to calculate your points. If you don't have at least 30 points, you better do what you can to get there, if not higher.

I took about 4-5 months before I got a response from them after I sent in my application, transcripts, teas.

I applied in early february and haven't heard anything but my application was a resubmission because I didn't accept for the spring 11 cohort. The first time I applied, which was actually years ago, they just send a print out with all your info and that took a few months. From my end if I had never contacted them by email then they never would have either. As far as I can tell there are only a handful of people actually administrating the program so they have a lot to do. I think it mostly takes time to evaluate all the applications and match the admission requirements with one's transcripts. For this last cohort which began in january, I was notified in november. That gives you a timeline for their response. I have heard they accept a few people quarterly but I am not positive. good luck.
