Nursing Students School Programs

Hey everyone! I applied to this upcoming cycle about a month ago but I know the deadline just passed. who else applied? I believe we should hear back sometime in late March with official evaluations etc. I signed up for the info session next month as well. good luck!

@penanko

Me, either. I couldn't see your email address because it's not showing due to privacy. I hope to see you at orientation then!

congrats everybody! I had to make a very difficult decision and decided to defer to the spring 19 term. This decision has a lot to do with my finances; moving and finding a restaurant job that can pay the bills within 45 days is too much. It will benefit me greatly to wait to spring. This leaves one more fall 18 spot open so good luck to you all!!

Hi everyone!

Congrats on your acceptance to the program! I too hope to be joining this fall. I was wondering how long after you completed your application that it took to get your evaluations and acceptance letters?

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

I applied on the deadline 3/16/18 for fall but I still have not received my evaluation yet. Is anyone else on the same boat?

Hey,

I applied before the deadline too. However, my application wasn't considered complete until my last transcript went through during the week of April 8th. Its been about 5 weeks since my app was completed. When I called last they said it should take about 6-8 weeks.

Thanks! So in that case I still have some time to wait since my app was not considered complete until the 18th.

good news! I got my evaluation in this morning. How long did it take for you guys to get your acceptance notice following your evaluation?

The school sends out admission notices in waves, its not a one-by-one thing where as soon as your evaluation is done they send you an admission notice. The first wave was completed weeks ago and I don't think anyone knows if they've done a second wave or not, although I couldn't see why there wouldn't be a second wave. Ask your advisor, the person who finished your evaluation, on when you might expect to hear back.

I asked an advisor earlier this week when the second wave of acceptances would come out. They should be coming out either by the end of this week or next week.

Yes, generally you can obtain $12,500 in financial aid per year, so $25,000 for the entire program. You'll be left to fund the remaining $25,000+ via private student loans. I already applied for and was approved for a private student loan through Sallie Mae. They seemed to have the best interest rates.

I went to an info session recently and was informed that tuition is approximately $48,000. As for financial aid, they do not provide aid because students are capped on units due to their previous Bachelor's and are therefore only eligible for loans.

This was according to the two ladies (forgot their names) who were leading the information session. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
