I applied for CSUN's accelrated fall 2008 program and simply wanted to let others know I'm online to bounce ideas around.
It would be great to hear your stories going through the interviewing and acceptance process. Who knows, hopefully we'll even be classmates together this fall...
Hey levoila!!!
Did you finally decided to attend CSUN? If yes, how s it going so far? What does your schedule look like, is it confirmed that the 9 units upper division are waved for the A-BSN? We (cohort 5) did not receive our information package yet, but is there any steep you (or anyone else) could advice us to take before the start of the program to avoid rushing at the end? Thank's for your answers...
I won't be going to CSUN after all. Labelledame, I sent you a pm.
I want to wish everyone good luck tomorrow. I hope you all have a great time and I'm sorry I won't get to meet you. Thank you all for helping temper the anxiety of waiting for decisions--I think I would have driven everyone crazy if it weren't for allnurses.com
Best wishes!
CSULB's entry-level BSN/MSN to become a clinical nurse specialist and then transition (hopefully) into the post-master's nurse practitioner certification.
I'll get the BSN after 16 months, then continue onto the MSN for another 18 months, and finally finish the post-master's in two additional semesters (I think).
I'm really excited! How did it go today? I'm curious on what I'm missing out on. I was really excited about starting the CSUN A-BSN this month, but decided it was worth waiting to start in August to get the MSN out of the way sooner.
I believe the deadline is the day of orientation. Not too sure. I was able to do the HIPPA online and received the completion certificate in the mail. However, the BBP was difficult to download. I am going to be on campus on the 6th and will do the BBP class online there on one of CSUN's computers.

Has anyone's major been updated? I mailed my change of major form a few weeks ago, but it still says "Pre-nursing." I'm beginning to wonder if it would have made a difference if I had dropped it off in person.
Does anyone know if we're supposed to wait to register until the orientation day? I'm guessing the class isn't going to fill since the schedule is set...I just wish I had an idea of what our schedule is going to be like. I hope they send us the information email soon. I hate not knowing what to expect.
