Cal State Fullerton Accelerated BSN - 2014

Published

Hello,

I applied to the program and just wanted to see if anyone else has heard back at all about scheduling an interview? The timeline says Dec-Jan, but I was hoping to find others who have applied so we can go through this together! Thanks in advance!

I know this thread hasn't been active for a while, but I just found out I have an interview at CSUF and am anxious to hear how it is! Anyone still around to share a bit about their experience?

Thanks :)

Hello! And congratulations on your interview! It must be an exciting time for you. The interview process is itself pretty painless (though the butterflies are still there). If it's the same like last year, it's a 2-part process: you have a one-on-one interview, which is more like a math skill-type assessment, and then a group interview with a panel that includes faculty and a current student. They'll ask you the standard questions you'd think of: What do you think nursing entails? Why do you want to be a nurse?

Just be yourself, be confident, and be proud to have come this far! All the luck to you! Let us know how it went. Maybe we'll see you in the Fall. :)

Hello!

I was also invited for an interview! Thank you for all the information about the interview process. I do have a few questions as well. For current/ past students, how do you like the program, and what is the curriculum/ schedule like? Pros/Cons of the program?

I just saw this most recent post (almost a year later). Sorry! Please let me know if you have any more questions! Are you in?

Hi Anilos81, Would you mind providing feedback on the program? Also, how have the job opportunities been for graduates? Thank you for your time!

Hello,

I have enjoyed the program so far, and I am scheduled to graduate in May. I haven't begun the job hunt yet since I haven't graduated so I can't speak to that. If you have any specific questions about the program please let me know!

That's great! Congrats! That's so exciting. Where are your clinicals at? Thanks for the info. I'm glad you're enjoying the program.

I have my interview on the 29th, super nervous. Kinda freaking out about this "math skill assessment" that someone mentioned x.x. I took the TEAS but CSUF doesnt require a test anymore, could be the reason for the assessment.

I have enjoyed it, it is bittersweet to be graduating, but also exciting and a huge relief! I had clinical at St Joseph's, mission hospital, Los Alamitos, the VA in Long Beach. OC health agency and CHOC.

Hi anilos81, BSN, CNA. Congratulations for all your hard work! You made it!! I am on the alternate list for Fall 2016 cohort. I was wondering if you knew of any alternates that were added to your class and if so how many? it is so hard to wait like this. Any information would be great. Thanks :)

In our class I think at least 2-3 alternates were added, not sure about this last cohort though. Good luck to you! Let me know if you have any other questions.
