From graduation to your NCLEX date... ( assuming you are taking it as soon as possible)I'm graduating this week and I hear of people who graduated in December who still haven't been able to test. If you are taking it soon in CA when did you graduate? how long did the whole process take?If you just got the green light to schedule the NCLEX when did you start the process?

I am in the same boat as you.. The BRN states on their website that the current processing time is about 10-12weeks, and that they are currently looking at applications recieved between March 16-31, 2020.

Can I ask how early anyone thinks we should apply? On the CA Breeze website when I started the process of the online application it said to not apply earlier than 2 weeks before graduation. But since it’s so backed up should I apply now? I finish in June, so by the time they’d get to me I’d be done. I could get my fingerprints done in the meantime while waiting for my transcripts to send?
I’m also starting a job 8/10 so I don’t want this to affect my ability to start if possible!

I would follow what the BRN website says, I applied a couple days before the ‘2 weeks before graduation’ mark. Depending on when your school sends your transcripts to the BRN, this will dictate when they will fully process your app... I applied to the BRN May 5, have a graduate day of May 21, and my school sends transcripts 3-4weeks after the grad date.. so I would check and see how your school does this process! ... going back to the BRN website, it says they are now doing apps that were completed in April, so they are going through them pretty quickly (quicker than 10-12weeks as depicted by their website , IMO).
After you apply to the BRN, you need to request the livescan forms since you are a CA resident. Once that is completed, you will receive an email giving you the OK to do the livescan and they will attach the livescan forms as well.
