Hi.
I'm an RN from the Philippines. I'm an Ca-Nclex passer but i do not have an ssn yet. I know this topic is long been issued already. But I'm really confused. and my eligibility will soon to expire. I was in the process of endorsing my eligibility to Vermont, the CGFNS sent already the CES report to them but this morning i found out that they now require an ssn too in order to get license. I've read threads and according from it I can endorse it in New Mexico or Texas. When I visited the BON sites accordingly I saw that they require ssn/license too. Is there anyway I can endorse it? Thank you so much!

All you can do is really talk to the various BON's and see what they say. They may accept your application however you are not endorsing as you have no license to endorse and they may not issue a license until you can provide them with a US SSN
I tried to email them many times but my messages always failing to sent. Anyway, Thank you so much for your response..=)

NM now requires a SS# to be issued a license, VT just change to the SS# requirement just a few days ago, not sure of TX, but I have heard thru others that many states will require a SS# by this year-end or beginning 2013 for license issuance. If it becomes a federal regulation, then it will apply to all 50 states in the near future.
I've checked the texas BON it also requires ssn...
Have you tried NY or NH? I don't think they have the SS# requirements "yet". But at some point, everyone will be required to have a SS# for future license renewals, if the SS# requirement becomes a federal law.
Oh, but wait, you don't have your CA license yet? If you don't have your CA license because you don't have a SS#, then, there's no CA license to endorse to any state. Yikes!
Yes. I called the NH BON they also require SSN.. I have not tried the new york yet.. Do you know any other option? one friend told me I can apply to Marshall Is. but i cannot search their BON website.. Thank you so much..

Hi pinkstrawberries. Does that mean that all your Hardwork for passing the nclex will all go to waste? I understand that the very limited number of state BON may all eventually require an SSN. But there must be a way to keep a record that states you had passed your nclex so as not to do it all over again.

The issue is that this already is a federal regulation, and it has just taken different states different amounts of time to come into compliance with it. Eventually, all 50 states (and, presumably, the territories) will be in compliance.
Maybe.. But I'm still hoping I can save ut. I can't think of any states which I can apply for licensure by endorsing my Nclex...
Maybe, it will be the case then...
