CA NCLEX takers w/ interim permit, has breeze posted your results?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my NCLEX Tuesday, July 14, 2015 @ 0800 - in the Central Valley.

Took Kaplan prep - scored 48-66% - cumulatively mid 50s

Got 108-110 questions, 15-20+ SATA, 1 fill in - math question, 1 exhibit question. I know the last 2 questions I got right and the screen shut off --- which does not determine whether I passed or not.

I am registered on Breeze but online it says next to my application, "Not Submitted." My transcripts have been sent by my college in June. I sent my application in March - it was cashed in April. I registered with Pearson in early May. Graduated May 22. I completed my Breeze account the day after graduation.

When I search my name, only my "Interim Permit" shows up - license # and expiration date. It's been a week and I haven't gotten results. I am not going to try the "PVT trick" since I've read how it can be unreliable.

A friend of mine took her NCLEX last year. She said the Interim Permit and RN are separate and if I passed, the "Registered Nurse" license would be up as well.

I've called the BRN to see if there was a delay on my application process on Friday, July 17 @ 0800 --- I got an automated message stating the BRN was "closed due to a temporary emergency." I called yesterday, Monday, July 20 @ 0800. Got another automated message stating they are closed.

Is anyone else with an IP experiencing such issues? It could be the BRN could be backed up with so many grads taking the BRN... Just unsure what my next steps are now while I wait. I have a job lined up and don't know what I am supposed to do next since I don't have my results. Share your experiences or advice with me if you've experienced the same thing.

It's been some time, but I found out last week that I passed!

I waited 4 weeks and decided to call the BRN again. I was polite, told them my situation and ask if she would be able to help me in anyway, I would be extremely grateful. She proceeded to look up my application and gave search for my results. She hinted several times that if she can find my results, she will auto-license me. Having had to wait 4 weeks for my results with 2 prior false alarms... I wasn't catching onto her drift. Haha!!! I was unofficially told that I passed my exam!!! The same day, my status was updated on breeze with my license number!

My results and license was delayed because my application did not have my transcripts. I resent them a couple weeks prior to the call and once she was able to find the transcripts, I was auto-licensed. SUPER SUPER BLESSED!!! :)

Congratulations Nsgmaps!!!

Thanks for sharing this, I am going through the same thing. I took my nclex 9/15 and I stopped at 105. I did the PVT a couple hrs after and I went to CC. I was told to wait 24hrs since it is graded twice. Tried the next day and I still got the CC page. 48hrs later my name isn't posted on brn. I am in this weird state or depression, convinced I failed, though I am relying a lot of it based on the PVT (which as of late have been unreliable--accoring to some) But my interim permit is still active (it becomes invalid once you fail). No one has reviewed my file, so I'm hopeful I still have a chance. It's been a painful 3 days.

I dk what you mean by CC page... but you'll probably have to wait longer to find out results. Sorry! :( I've heard that those who have failed... the BRN doesn't keep you waiting. You find out you've failed quite fast. Hang in there!

Congrats on finally getting your results!!!

For those of us still waiting I got a little info from the BRN that I hadn't heard before...I took my NCLEX on August 21 at 0800. I had two classmates take it the same day and time and they both got their licenses and saw their name on breeze within 48 hrs. I am STILL waiting exactly a month later. I called the BRN and explained the situation to the person and he said " depended on how the application is initially processed an applicant will either be auto-licensed once their results are verified or they will need to be manually processed once results come in" and that "half of all applicants are auto process and the other half will be manual process" which is why some of our classmates will get theirs quicker than others. Still frustrating sitting here a month later and being told to wait for a full 30 days from test date before being concerned and that they are still processing my file...

@jess0807, hmmmm.. I never heard that one before!! Anyhow they technically have 4-6 weeks to make you results available. Past that time frame, there must be a problem that needs be fixed.

@SlicksGIRL, do you mean you go straight to the Credit Card Payment page? If so, that's expected with PVT. You need to punch in you CC info and submit it to get the good pop up.

I know the wait is a real pain, I'm sorry... Please keep us updated!

Good luck

@Une Infirmiere Yeah it was a strange thing I hadn't heard until that day. I called again today since this is my 6th week of waiting and while explaining my situation to the operator she cut me off and just transferred me to who I assume was a supervisor. His phone rang for a bit and then I got his voicemail so I left him a very nice message with my contact info so we will see if I get a call back anytime soon. I have been reassured multiple times that my file is complete and nothing is missing so that is why I am really concerned and trying to stay on top of them.

@slicksGIRL I did PVT and got the good pop up twice. Both way after the 48 hr mark. You are meant to go to the CC page and put in your CC info then hit submit. You do run the risk of it actually taking the $200 payment though.

Okay update: My license showed up on Breeze today!!

Yesterday I called, was transferred to a supervisor and he told me that they had no history of me ever taking an exam and had me call pearson to transmit my results. Pearson already had but turns out the pearson liaison at the BRN had not released my results. I got someone nice on the phone to email the liaison and voila the license showed up today. Seems no one wanted to look into it until the 6 week time frame came up

Anyway thats neither here nor there...the license showed up thats all that matters!!!
