ca nclex result question

Hi, I am in the same boat as you, although in a different state. I took my test on July 19th in MA and have applied for a license in NC. Still no results, no letter, not on the website...nothing! I know exactly how you feel. I am slowly going crazy and getting concerned I will eventually get a letter saying I didn't pass. This "not knowing" business is really hard, especially when dragged out to over 10 days. Just think, eventually one day we willl find out the results and once we find out we did pass we will look back and laugh at how worried we were. I am jealous of those who live in states with quick results or those who get their results in 2 days. It's just not fair!

I won't tell you to relax, because I am having a hard time relaxing about it myself and I hate it when people tell me that anyway. I guess just remain hopeful and try to be optimistic about it all. I hear the California results take a long time due to high volume. Keep your chin up and know that there are other people out there who know what you are going through. I wish I had an answer for you, and I am sorry I don't. Look at it as a great big test in patience! I am slowly learning to sit back and watch the gray hairs appear as each day passes...

Hi! I don't know what school you went to but it depends when the BRN receives and processes your transcripts as to when your name will be posted (if you passed) on the BRN website. My school didn't get the transcripts in right away--I took the NCLEX June 30, and didn't find out until July 23 (over 3 weeks)! Also the BRN has been innundated with school transcripts as you can imagine. So don't give up and keep checking!!! Keep in mind that 85% of first time NCLEX test takers pass--so odds are on your side :) ! I know that won't make you feel much better because only YOUR test effects YOUR life, but I'm just trying to point out the positives. I do know how you feel, the wait is excrutiating but it will soon be over. Kim

it doesn't mean you didn't pass, you most likely did! I just found out today July 29 and took on July 26...it was a miracle. I am from California.

Four of my classmates took the exam and here is how it went:

1 took it on July 1st and found out yesterday(July 28) via the website

1 took it on July 7th and found out July 26 via the website

2 took it on July 13th and found out July 21st.

Don't sweat it....it is just random who finds out first, it may also be a transcript problem.

i just wonder if you did'nt see your name in the california verification website is that mean that i didn't pass....i took my nclex last july 19,2004 and i haven't seen my name....and i have no idea ..if the post of the name in the website is first or the mailing of the result? which is first?????? i wish i know so that it will end the feeling of the unknown.....

thanks! seelo....congrats...you deserve to be an rn....i wish i am, too. co'z i love being a nurse...i never thought i would love nursing but i did. it makes my love complete eventhough it'a a tough and rough and hard job but when you see smile in your patients face ....ohhh...all my tiredness goes away co'z i know i did my job well....
