Buying Textbooks Online - CDs included?

Published

When you buy textbooks that come with CD-ROMs from an online source (web-sites such as Amazon, Half.com, Bigwords.com, etc. etc.), are those textbooks automatically guaranteed to come with the CD that is originally included when bought brand new, unless stated otherwise?

Does each web-site have a different policy on this?

How can I be sure that I will get the accompanying CDs I need with the textbooks that I want to buy through Amazon?

I would appreciate any advice on this matter! :nurse:

You might also ask if the book comes with the code for elsevier.com. I bought a used book with the CD, but all the online content was not available to me because the code was used and ripped out of the book.

I have to say that for online classes where there is minimal instructor interaction and hardly any study aides other than my book, the CDs have been very helpful, as well as the Evolve/Elsevier website resources. I will probably continue to use them when I start in-class nursing courses next month.
