I've applied for spring 2011 and I'm anxiously waiting to hear something from BCC.! I have all my pre-reqs done. I'm currently working in a doctors office from 8-4. I'm wondering if I will I be able to work and do NS. My employer is willing to work with me. I'm not sure if my schedule will allow me to work for them? I don't need a job financially. I would just like to maintain a relationship in the local community to help me later on down the line.
The brochure doesn't really give me an idea of the schedule that we'll have...anybody have a clue?
@Shannon: I only spoke to a general advisor at Mt. Laurel. I had to get some pre-reqs transferred from my four year school (I was NOT retaking Philosophy!!). I did hear the same that they go by how many pre-reqs you have already completed, and I only have Micro lab, lecture, and Nutrition to complete this semester. I don't see how it would be a problem. Still nothing in the mail, I'm a little anxious too.
hahah i dont blame you in not wanting to take philosophy again. That class was awful!! I took Nutrition, Micro lecture and lab in Summer 1. I had good teachers for Lecture and Nutrition so they were relatively easy. Lab was stressful becuase you need to identify an unknown and its worth 30 percent of your grade. Good Luck! :)
Yeah, I've only had two classes of lab and I'm already stressing because I have a ton to do. I haven't had my lecture yet because of the holiday last Monday. Nutrition seems okay so far. I guess the nursing department automatically gets your scores if you took it at BCC. I'm not sure about if you took it somewhere else, though. I had to wait and take the TEAS before I got a passing score and they said they were aware of the change of tests so that they would get all of the scores.
I felt like I put 10 times more work into my Micro Lab than I did lecture. Its a lot of work but its definitely worth it when you're done. Nutrition i had a very easy teacher so I was lucky with that. Sometimes the teachers are more leniant in the summer. (not my lab teacher though!) I'm done everything but the Medicine Administration class which I'll probably take over the winter break.

Thats awesome! Im hoping once im in the program i can get a job in a hospital doing something. I love anatomy also, its so interesting and I always tell people I could never see myself sitting at a desk all day by myself. I love being around people and constantly moving and doing something so nursing is perfect for me!
