Burlington County College Spring 2011 does anyone know what schedule I should expect?

Published

I've applied for spring 2011 and I'm anxiously waiting to hear something from BCC.! I have all my pre-reqs done. I'm currently working in a doctors office from 8-4. I'm wondering if I will I be able to work and do NS. My employer is willing to work with me. I'm not sure if my schedule will allow me to work for them? I don't need a job financially. I would just like to maintain a relationship in the local community to help me later on down the line.

The brochure doesn't really give me an idea of the schedule that we'll have...anybody have a clue?

do you have all of your prereqs and coreqs done? I finished everything in July so I really hope I get in. I dont want to sit out another semester! Keep me posted if you receive anything Id love to have an idea when I might hear.

I'm SOOOOOOOOO anxious to hear something! I've been checking my mailbox religiously everyday!!! LOL! Today I pulled the mail out (junk) and checked it again 5 mins later...I'm so ready for this!!!

Shannon, I thought I was the only one! I have been checking the mail everyday since the end of August. I am so anxious. I hope to see you in the January class. Let me know if you hear anything!

I am finishing my pre reqs this semester. However my gpa is really good plus I did real well on the teas too. Shannon, I did the same thing the moment I got home from work this afternoon. I'm really hoping that I get in for spring I definitely do not want to wait for next year this is my third degree and I don't want to be in school forever haha

@crhoward13186 Did you speak with an advisor? I was told that all the prereqs had to be completed by summer 2 session for the following Spring semester. I wanted to start this fall but needed 1 prereq (which I took this summer), they told me it was impossible to get in for Fall and to apply for Spring 2011.

I think its a little ridiculous in a sense but I think I understand how going through hundreds of applications and waiting for grades to come in could be a bit of a challenge. If I were you I would call if you haven't already just to check...I could be wrong! That was what I was told...I wish you the best!

Shannon from what I was told they give priority to people with the most prereqs done. I finishe everything in July. A girl in my micro lab said she hadn't finished micro when she applied but was accepted for the fall. They also give first priority to Burlington county residents and gpa is basically meaningless and as long as you meet the minimum they accept on a first come first qualified basis. I don't know if you needed all the prereqs done by summer 2 but it definitely helps your chances. I finished everything in July so I'm hoping to be accepted. Good luck guys! The anxiety is driving me crazy waiting to hear lol

For some reason I'm not surprised I got the wrong information. It's like pulling teeth *sigh*. I guess I could've started this Fall. Oh well! :D I guess it wasn't meant to be. Hopefully we're all supposed to be in Class of Spring 2011! Yaaay!

If you talked to a general advisor and not a nursing one they probably gave you the wrong information. I agree its like pulling teeth. I know fall you need to send out your intent to enroll form by like October or November and they tell you if you are in by April 15 so the class may have been filled depening when you talked to them. Do you have any medical background? I dont but i know this is definitely what I want to do but it makes me nervous going into the program knowing I have no experiance. Hopefully im not the only one with no experiance.

I'm an operating room surgical technician (U.S. Army). I've also worked as a medical assistant for a few years (ENT, OB/GYN, General). I've even worked on the clerical side (Medical records) *boring* :p. My current postion which I enjoy is medical assistant/medical receptionist. I LOVE working with patients. I'm definitly a people person. Anatomy is really interesting to me! Every aspect! The reason I haven't taken a job as a surgical technician is because of course I want to be a RN. The OR is pretty demanding so I wouldn't have time for that now.

I'm sure you'll do just fine Megan. No worries. Not everyone has medical experience. If they can do than you can do it too :D
