Hi everybody, i finished BSN and just passed the licensure here in our country. Been wanting to work in MS and i dunno where to start. Am thinking of getting a 6 months work experience in a tertiary hospital here in our country before taking the CGFNS, NCLEX then IELTS. the thing is i don't have an agency, do i still need to have an agency in order to get a job in MS? hoping to receive an advice from you guys. How long would it take? i was trying to do some scheduling with all that i need to do.
Thank you for your help...

hi congrats to you,
1.i will suggest you look up in the net what's the web page of MS board of nursing so you can check their requirements for licensure,
like if you need cgfns and an english exam.. so if it does, you might as well take these first.
i hope you will take advantage of what you've learned for the local board exam in RP,so that you can ace cg or nclex perhaps.
2. you need to get first the necessary requirements for employment be it a direct hire or a staffing service, that is
a. CGFNS plus IELTS or
b. NCLEX plus IELTS;
these are needed for you to gain employment in the u.s., they are also needed when your prospective employer will file an immigrant visa petition or the I-140, in behalf of you.
3. i prefer getting the exams first after the clinical experience, once you get to care for a ward with a 1:50 ratio you will have no time to review for your upcoming exams. remember, those are what you need.
4. the processing times vary really; for ideas regarding consular processing you might as well look at NVC-GP tracker;
by the way,you can look for other board of nursing which is easier to get an authorization to test so you can be eligible for NCLEX, then you can just endorse the license to MS. cali bon, vt bon, il bon do not require cgfns.i wouldn't suggest ny bon though, cause it costs too much,
this site is helpful you might as well checked other threads for guidance.
hope this helps,
peanut
Hi! Thank you so much for the information. I would like to ask about the endorsement of NCLEX, say for example, i take VT NCLEX, when can i have it endorsed to MS? should i stay in VT for sometime and work there as an RN or can have it endorsed to MS soon after getting the license? Cam i get a job in MS while my NCLEX is still in VT or i need to wait till i get it endorsed to MS? because i am still her in the philippines...thank you very much!
Hi! if i am going to take the VT NCLEX and then endorse it to MS am i still going to need the CGFNS? thank you...i'd appreciate your response...God bless!
and since MS requires CGFNS... thank you
