I am accepted into the UMASS school of nursing and will probably accept!
hey, i'm not too sure about the 2nd degree program, because i am going for the generic bsn route. i know the minimum gpa for the generic is 3.2 which is very competitive. where are you moving from? get ready for out of state tuition! it's a killer!
I'll be attending UCF's basic BSN program in Daytona in January. Before I applied, the counselor told me that the three most important things they consider are GPA, pre-reqs, and completion of your AA. She also told me that since I was a transfer student, I didn't need to complete the essay on the university app., but I did it anyway. The only problem I've had with UCF is their disorganization. For instance, I almost didn't get into the nursing program because the university failed to inform the school of nursing that I'd been admitted. It was only after I became impatient and called them that the nursing dept. questioned me about it and had me fax over my university acceptance letter. Two days later I got my nursing acceptance letter. So if you choose UCF, just call them often and make sure they have all the info they should. Good luck, hope this helps!

Hi everyone, my name is Renee and first of all let me congratulate all of you who have recently been accepted to nursing programs in Florida. I have been accepted to UCF, FAU, FGCU and will also be applying to Nova Southeastern and Florida State for Fall 2007 ( I want some options ), but i really would like to go to FGCU. I have just been accepted to the colleges, but pending acceptance to the nursing programs. Currently my gpa is at 3.10 and by the end of this semester i should be atleast at a 3.25. I have all pre-reqs completed except for chemistry and that will be done in January. My question is, for those of you that were accepted to florida universities, what was your gpa along with other criteria that got you accepted (pre-reqs, essay, transfer student, etc..)? And by the way, what school and term were you accepted into? Congratulations to all of you! I am just getting kind of anxious
because i know my gpa is good, but may not be compeitive enough!! I can't submit my nursing app for UCF yet, because their minimum gpa is 3.25, but the other schools are fine. Please help!
