Howdy! I plan on applying to Baptist School of Health Professions Summer 2019 ADN. Please comment if you have any information regarding BSHP, the Baptist Health System in general or if you plan to attend. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Y'all.

It’s a really good program. As far as stats are concerned, the cohort before me had 100% NCLEX pass rate on the first try.
Congratulations!!!
Was it difficult to find a job with an ADN?
@calcgirl314 congrats on graduating! As far as the Baptist hospitals go, what would you say are areas easier and harder to get into as a new grad?
ICU, PACU, L&D, Psych, and OR require experience. Sometimes NICU and Postpartum have graduate residency programs, but there is a lot of competition for these specialty areas. Med-Surg, PCU, and Telemetry floors usually are less competitive and easier to get into. They also hire cath lab for new nurses, (not sure how competitive it is.). ER also hires new grads, and I’m not sure how competitive it is. I’m starting in Med-Surg and within 2 years hope to start ICU.
@calcgirl314 I'm glad to hear that you had so many options with your Adn. I'm personally interested in dialysis or psych. Would you happen to know the starting salary @baptist health system? Would you know if BSHP accepts Clep credits?

I’m about to be in the evening program for their nursing school. Would you mind sharing what the schedule was like/your hours, or at least an idea of it? Thank you.
Generally they are true to what they advertise on the course catalogue. The major issue we had was that Mental Health clinical had very few clinical sites, my cohort wasn’t affected but I have heard that they have to do Friday clinicals for that particular clinical now. Classes generally went from 5:30-8:30 pm. Some classes went til 9 pm. Occasionally we had to stay til 10 pm, but that was towards the end of the program. I remember having most Monday’s off. Friday’s are generally pick a patient day at the hospital and get your clinical paperwork done. Classes were mostly Tuesday-Thursday. But the last semester the schedule drastically changed.

Did you ever have a Sunday clinical?

My question is that I am interested in applying for Fall 2019! I am currently finishing my A&P II course. I've yet to take TEAS. I am aware that there are Day/Evening Classes.
Does anyone know the difference in workload between both? The reason I ask is I'm having trouble deciding whether to keep my fulltime job or just get a part-time job to go to Day Classes?
What determines you being selected into the program? How soon did they let you know? Are there any specific nitpicking things that they definitely want from everyone? Do they offer a program to work for them for x amount of years as a payback to school tuition?
Just curious did anyone apply to other schools, if so, which ones?
The more input from anyone is much appreciated. Thank you.
