Have been hearing that BC will be requiring math prerequisite and may be dropping Chemistry pre-req for nursing program for students starting Jan 2013. Please post any specific information you have received from the school. I have emailed them but have not heard back. The people on the phone are not exactly sure what's going to happen.

I agree.. i'll be happy even if it just changes to in review.. at least to know its being looked at... i just want to get the news already to hopefully get started on the reading..

I applied in July and I've been waiting and waiting. I've spoken to the nursing directors and staff and they all said its unlikely that we will know before October 15th. Hopefully we all get in!

I was browsing through the other January classes, and they found out as early as September 16th and last year they found out October 5th. Hopefully it won't be too long:/

October 5th? That's like in 10 days=( I hate all of this waiting.

Me too.. every day that goes by, i get more and more nervous....

I guess that if it takes a while the points must be so close that they have to compare HESI scores and pre-reqs...Kinda crazy if you think about it! They're deciding our fates based on subtle differences lol.

Best advice at this point is to take as many pre-reqs possible, such as Micro. I believe that to apply for the May 2013 class we will need Micro.

If this doesn't work out I will be applying to FAU's accelerated program. Best of luck to everyone!!!

Is this the first year that hesi scores has been part of the selection process??

I always thought you just had to passed?!?

I think it was used as a tie breaker

I think it was used as a tie breaker

  • In the event of a tie, students will be given one(1) point for the completion of each college-level, general education course that is required toward the Associate of Science Degree for the Nursing Program. In the event that a tie remains, the point will be awarded to the student with the highest grades in the required courses. General Education courses completed prior to admission may be used to assign points in the event there is a tie for a seat.
