Broward College RN Program May 2010

Has anyone turned in their application yet?! Btw, I heard that Central campus might NOT have a May class :sniff:

Can someone please post the fundamentals (title, author, etc.) book necessary for first semester students, including which edition. I know it has been posted in the past, but I'm having trouble finding it. And should I order the latest edition or does it matter?

I really want to get a jump on things asap...Thanks!!!

Just came back from BC, and everything is in order :) No last minute surprises for me

Wow! I thought that would be an all day affair. Glad to hear everything is in order.

Fundamentals of Nursing Potter & Perry ... i bought the 6th ed( it was no more than $6 on amazon) to pre read but i think they use the 7th ed

Glamorousgirl,

Thanks! I'm going to check it out on Amazon. I guess I'll probably pick up the older addition too for now. I wonder if they will make us spring for the latest edition in nursing school...

gosh...the wait is killing me...I cant wait for the acceptance letter to go out...They told me to wait 30 days after the application deadline to find out if im accepted.

Tell me about it! I've been checking my email like twice a day!! :anbd:

Sheesh, thirty days after the application deadline, sigh. Hopefully it comes sooner. So what's everyone doing this semester? Any classes or just work and waiting?

I'm going to just continue working as much as possible to get my finances in order so that I can pay for NS classes and school supplies. Then I will reduce my workload significally when NS starts. Hopefully I can squeeze in a week off and take my children to Orlando and take advantage of the 4 parks for 4 days deal. We haven't been in quite some time.

I'm basically doing the same thing, working as much as i can and waiting, because lord knows when NS starts, I will significantly reduce my workload.

I guess we are all doing the same...I am working too full time and taking classes...just in case I dont get into BC's program I can apply to other schools and maybe get my BSN

Can someone please explain the HOSA to me? I am trying to get as many points on my application as possible.

Thank you

HOSA is something you take in high school. From what I was told, and according to the website, it can't be more than 2 years ago or they won't award the 5 pts. I think they still waive the health core course if its over 2 years, you just don't get the points.
