Broward College Nursing Program January 2018

Published

Hey everyone! I know it's a little early for the January (spring) 2018 process but I'm super anxious! I basically wanted to start this topic so that every one applying for the 2018 term could all help each other out! I am retaking a course at Keiser then my GPA will be higher and my overall HESI score is an 88%. Post any questions, comments, or concerns! Good luck to everyone! (:

I'm applying for 2018 too! Do you think it's too early to apply? I need to get my transcripts sent to the school and that shouldn't take more than a week right?

You're definitely going to get in! You have a nice GPA to get in!

Melissahh202 I was careless as well after high school, which made my initial GPA a 2.7 but I took a class over to bring my GPA up. From previous forum that I've read people with 3.0 and up have been accepted.

Hi Everyone,

I am applying for May 2018 .

I am taking Chem, Anatomy & Phys 2 this semester that will finish in December and I plan on taking the HESI right after the semester. Which would give me enough time to apply by February.

I have heard things as well about Broward nursing program that are scary. I am still going to apply, because I know it is a good school.

Any tips for preparation would be helpful!

Thank you,

Hi all,

I just submitted my application for the Nursing program for Jan. 2018, probably to attend the North campus since it is the closest to me. My pre-req GPA was a 3.7 and my overall HESI score was an 85%, so fingers crossed!

Goodluck everyone!!

Hey there! I'm applying for the Jan '18 program as well. Just waiting on taking my HESI next Wednesday to apply. My pre-req GPA is a 3.6, so hopefully I perform well and have good odds for getting in; I'm so nervous!!!

One thing I haven't seen too much info on is the differences between the campuses. I always assumed I would be going to Central because that's where I've taken the majority of my classes, but it's so expensive to live in the area. For cost of living, I was thinking about attending the North Campus. Any thoughts on this?

Keep this forum updated! I'm looking forward to hearing all of you got in :)

I live in coconut creek which the North campus is located in Coconut Creek. It is pretty expensive, I pay $1530 a month for a 1/1. You could try other cities that are Fairly close to coconut creek that might be cheaper like Pompano beach or margate. Again I'm sure you could find something cheaper in coconut creek, but overall I'd say cost of living is expensive in coconut creek.

Wow! That may be more expensive than the Davie area. The surrounding cities, like Plantation or Sunrise, are just as expensive as Davie, so it doesn't help much lol plus, Davie is such a small city

Plus the new construction of apartment buildings doesn't help because the other complexes are updating and increasing rent to compete with the newer buildings. I like coconut creek tho, good area & close to many things. I'm sure you could find something cheaper if you look!

I will look into it! Thank you for all the info :)

Are you planning on attending at North campus just because it's close to you? I'm trying to determine which would be a better fit for me. Also, you applied in July! When do you find out if you've been accepted?

You're welcome! I am planning on attending North because 1. It is the closest lol í ½í¸‚ And 2. I know many people that have graduated from the nursing program that went to the North campus and said it was one of the better campuses. Honestly, I have no idea when I will find out I'm assuming like a month after the deadline

Hello everyone, I'm planning on applying for Jan 2018 too. All I'm missing is the HESI, I have been reviewing with the HESI admission assessment edition 4. I heard a lot of bad reviews on this book. Can anyone you give me a little insight on how the HESI exam was? Also how many times does BC let you retake?
