Hey everyone! I know it's a little early for the January (spring) 2018 process but I'm super anxious! I basically wanted to start this topic so that every one applying for the 2018 term could all help each other out! I am retaking a course at Keiser then my GPA will be higher and my overall HESI score is an 88%. Post any questions, comments, or concerns! Good luck to everyone! (:

I also am going to apply for the Jan 2018 term. I finish my anatomy 2 in 2 weeks, and then thats it for my Pre reqs! When do you take your Hesi? I was told the application cut off is Sept 15th so I want to take it in Aug.
Hey wawray! Yes, nursing app. cut off for January was Sept.15th. So hopefully they keep it the same and don't change anything.
I initially took my HESI at Palm Beach State College, I asked Nichole about the scores and she told me that I can use those scores.
AnneC. if you don't mind me asking how were your pre req grades?... I saw that Broward does a point system based on the science and the english course. When I went to the info session I ran into a girl who was turning in her packet to start the program and she told me she had a C in a a course and still got in! I was very surprised.
Then she most likely got A's in all of the other pre-req's. I have a B in Anatomy 1 & Anat 2 (both lab and lecture) and I had a C in English. I'm taking English over pretty soon. What about you, what are your pre-req grades?
This is the point system.
To calculate your pre-req GPA (grades from ENC1101, BSC2085, BSC2085L, BSC2086 and BSC2086L), you can use the following:
For 3 credit classes:
A = 12 points
B = 9 points
C = 6 points
For 1 credit classes (LABS):
A = 4 points
B = 3 points
C = 2 points
Add up the total points and divide by 11. This is your pre-req GPA. Your pre-req GPA DOES NOT show on your degree audit.
Based on your pre-req GPA, the points are awarded as follows:
1 point = 2.5
2 points = 2.6]
3 points = 2.7
4 points = 2.8
5 points = 2.9
6 points = 3.0
7 points = 3.1
8 points = 3.2
9 points = 3.3
10 points = 3.4
11 points = 3.5
12 points = 3.6
13 points = 3.7
14 points = 3.8
15 points = 3.9
16 points = 4.0
I finish my anatomy 2 with the lab in 2 weeks. I currently have an A in both of those classes so if I do well on my finals then hopefully I will keep the A's! As far as my other courses go....
BSC2085 -B
BSC2085L- A
ENC 1101- B
BSC 2086- *A*
BSC 2086L *A*

Hi everyone! I was wondering if any of you were planning on working full time (40hrs/week) once they start the program? Do you think is possible?Im planning to start on Jan/18 so I am saving as much money now working 60hrs week but I am still worried about my bills! Also, do you know of the program starting on Jan/18 will be offered at North campus? I heard Central is terrible

I'm also planning on applying to the January 2018 program! Right now I have a B in English, A's in A&P1 (lab and lecture) and I'm predicting for A&P2, which I finish in 2-3 weeks, is hopefully an A in lab and B in lecture. I really hope I can get those grades and get into the program!!
Hi Mavvyt,
I do not plan on working full time....but this is because I know that I personally would not be able to keep up with studies if I worked. Everyone is different though and has different circumstances......do what is best for you! Maybe if you get in and see yourself struggling just try to cut back on your hours if possible.
You definitely will! Good luck!

Hi everyone!
Im applying for the January term, I have a 3.09 gpa but my overall Gpa is not the best. I was very careless after high school. Within the last year I have re-enrolled and have been doing well. I just pray that I get in for this term. Good luck everyone. I will be submitting my application with in the next few weeks 🤗
