Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

you can apply and then do the CEUs after a lot of us are completing them now, I'm doing mine in CEUfast.com if you have the time do them now so you are prepared, there is so much other stuff to do you want to be as prepared as possible.

Thank you so much, I gonna put my app in this week! Ive done all my ceu's besides the TB/OSHA and im gonna do that one in July online at BC.

Can somebody please, please let me know the number to call to pick up the osha certification at Central Campus. The class is no longer in D2L so I can't see.

Hi Guys,

Congrats to everybody for getting into the program, I've been reading this thread for a while! As i was reading i felt so excited and mad that it was taking so long.

I have my pre-requisites from Keiser University but i am looking for other schools that don't have a waiting list and Broward seems liek the best option so far. Could you guys provide some insight as to how the classes work? Schedule wise? I need a lot of advise since i am the first in my family to go to college and i have nobody else who can guide me through this!

So far. .. my classes are m-f pretty much all day. I just saw mornings I thought we had of well be mandatory lrc. ... so plan on everyday plus they said 5 hours studying a day.

HammockBound Okay so pretty much like Keiser, my biggest concern is getting into the nursing program and holding a job. I am going to talk to an advisor next week to hopefully find out more information. And hopefully i can make it into the program soon.

Hey guys. Even though your thread was for the summer admission. I wanted to ask you if there's anyone out there who wants to start in August. I've already turned in my application with the $20 fee, so now im just waiting and hoping I'll get in.. fingers cross..

Me!! Just finished Micro, I know we don't need it for the program I just wanted to get it out of the way. I'm currently reviewing for the HESI. Can I submit my application before taking the HESI exam or do i have to have my test results first? I have my application ready to turn in just don't know if I have to take the test first.

My fingers are crossed as well, I don't have the best GPA but I'm still hoping for the best!! Good luck, I'm so excited :woot:

You can submit the application then take the test. I have a somewhat gpa 3.36 but I think if you score well on your Hesi everything should be just fine...you can use the evolve book for grammar, vocab , math and quizlet for anatomy and reading..

Hey guys already in heheh do you guys think we really need to buy the Pocket Companion for Physical Examination and Health Assessment, 6 ed (Jarvis, Pocket Companion for Physical Examination and Health Assessment)?? Did you guys used it or not?

I have it and I like it has quick breakdown for the head to toe as well as chapter by chapter breakdown. I don't know how much it is at the bookstore but I wouldn't buy it there. I would get the 5th edition of Amazon. Might be around 10 bucks with shipping.

Its very convenient to just have a little book for reference for the physical examination and assessment
