Broward College Nursing January 2012

Hey everyone!

This is a thread for anyone applying for the January 2012 class at Broward college for the generic nursing track. July 16th was the date to start applying and I believe it closes sometime in October. How many points does everyone have? I had to defer my seat so I will be starting in January for sure at north campus! :D if I can be of any help with questions pertaining to getting in or the HESI I will be glad to help! Good luck everyone!!

Did anybody here the lady at orientation speak about uniforms and shoes?

We should have another orientation at the campus we plan on attending, at that orientation they will discuss uniforms, shoes, etc. This orientation may be before the semester starts/first day of class.

where is everyone getting there titers done? i was originally just going to go to my doctor but from a previous thread i am not sure if insurance covers it and then i will be in even more debt than i already am... this program is so expensive! plus... was the lady saying at orientation you must do the titers every year as well? and the fingerprinting and drug testing?

i found an urgent care/walk in clinic, suppose to be cheaper then the health dept and will beat any competions prices, and they say no appointment/no waiting :D

and yes, i agree. we are having to come up with alot of money and get alot accomplished in the next few weeks/months!! not to mention, i am taking classes now, (including micro/micro lab)!

my head is spinning!! :uhoh3:

Is there anyone besides me interested in taking the course, "INTRODUCTION TO MATH TOPICS FOR NURSES" course id, CAE0612?

I and three other students would like to take the course...I emailed the instructor yesterday and I believe they did the same..I need to know how to go about scheduling for the course...I checked but it's not there.

I emailed the instructor as well when I saw the post about Marsha Berger willing to teach this class. I never heard back from her.

Tiff01, the titers are taken first and based in those results it will let the Dr/you know if you need the immunizations...I for instance cannot remember when last I had any immunizations, so my titers will show I have almost none of those vaccines in my system..

about the cpr, i have my cpr card from red cross,,is that good enough? it says red cross on it.
