Broward college Nursing Jan 2015

Published

Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?

I used slugbooks.com it searches all the online stores for you. :)

For those that applied for Financial Aid, have you received any award offers? I'm starting to freak out because the payment deadline for classes is creeping up!

I spoke with a rep two weeks ago and they said we were to get offers last week :banghead:

Does anyone want to meet on Sundays in the library to study prior to class starting? I kind of want to get some topics out of the way in order to feel less overwhelmed once all four classes start :)

Nope i was waiting. I didn't know how it worked for awards.

Hello,

Just wondering if anybody is selling any of their old textbooks from the August Semester??

Thank you!

Do not, i repeat, do not sell your perry and potter books until you graduate! You'll need them for trends too! :)

Does anyone know when we can start purchasing books from the bookstore?

So, money is due next week and still no answer from financial aid. :(:banghead::mad::confused:

I am in the same boat as you. They were supposed to send me a refund check and money for winter term and nothing. They said they would give us an extension but how scary is that! I don't want to get dropped, also I went over a month ago and nothing still. :(

For all the students on the FA boat, try going to a credit union and asking for a small student loan. They usually have no payments while in school, plus you can pay it off completely when your FA gets here.

Exactly!

I just checked my BC account. I was surprised to see financial aid will cover about half of next semester's tuition :woot: Better than nothing, which was what I was expecting.

Hallelujah!
