Broward College May 2017

Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

For some reason when I type notes it doesn't register in my brain. Hand notes are time consuming. Hopefully I can still continue with them if I get into the program

lol i don't write notes anymore, my hand writing is terrible. I just now type the notes on my mac, its so much easier for me.

I'm the same way. I absolutely have to write out my notes otherwise it won't stick in my head! I also enjoy using sticky notes to do brief summaries. I find it fun to do! And it hasn't failed me yet. (Knock on wood)

Yep I use stickies too. Sometimes once I'm done I will type myself a review explaing different concepts. Then I'll look back over my notes to see what I missed from my review helps me to understand.Which campus are you trying to attend?

Same here, i go back and forth between typing and writing but my hand writing is so bad i cant barely read it sometimes lol. So when i start school i'll do both. I like sticky notes also and index cards. They're my bestie.

I'm trying to attend Central Campus because it's the closest campus to where I live. I've never tried to type out my notes, usually after I write out the notes in my notebook, I go back in to the textbook and sticky note either every 2-3 paragraphs (depending on it's length and content) so when I have to take a quick look-back, it jogs my memory. I'm not a huge computer savvy person, I don't usually enjoy using my laptop unless I absolutely have to. I'm an old school person for my age, haha.

Lol yes same here not a computer person when it comes to my notes. Give me some paper and colorful pens and I'll be happy. Lot of ppl seem to want to go to central. Where is the North ppl lol?

So far YouTube has been my best friend when it comes to explaining some of these topics

South here, I live in Miami í ½í¸« I'm taking Micro Lab and I don't feel like reading and taking notes, this class is taking a toll on me. To be honest I'm not motivated at all. Im not in the program yet and I feel already stressed out by just thinking that my life will change to 180 degree and that got my worried.

The only piece of equipment lol I have ready for NS is a voice recorder, but we would have to aks our profesors if it would be ok. I learn thru repetitions and re-writing things out, YouTube videos. I'm not good with technology too, I'm 35, old school, I like books, I find it very difficult to read from Ebooks ,but I would like to have both options.

i like eBooks because as you read it reads along with you, or i read it first then listen to the eBook. it helps me with memorization.
