Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

I also applied for Summer and I can't wait to start! I'm super nervous though, because there is always a chance that my application wasn't strong enough and it could get deferred to another term. I wanna just fast forward to where I am settled into classes. The future is just so uncertain.:sorry: An acceptance would change EVERYTHING!

Anyways, I've taking A&P 1&2 , stats, a writing course at a previous institution, and taken and submitted the HESI. When I scrolled down the admissions requirements pdf it lists a bunch of courses required for the nursing program. It list courses such as HIV, OSHA, CPR and First aid. Do we need to take those courses prior to applying for our applications to be considered? I read somewhere that the submission deadline for May ended on Feb 15th.

Sorry if this question has already been answered, this thread has like 88 pages and I don't really have the patience to read 40+ pages of anxiety that mirrors my own. :cat:

Hey,

The only pre-requisites taken into consideration for admission are: A&P I and II with the labs and ENC1101. You also need a math, but they don't use it to calculate your GPA. You will need to take the other courses (like CPR) after you get the acceptance letter. Hope this helps!!!

Hello and welcome. The courses that you named such as HIV and OSHA etc I believe those are the CEU classes that will be completed once we get acceptance letters. If you don't mind me asking what is your gpa

I didn't calculate just the prereqs, but my cumulative is 3.09 as of today. Which, I know, isn't anything special, but my HESI scores are quite high. Hopefully that might redeem me. Thank you for answering my question btwí ½í¸‰

I also have a 3.09 with 6 points~ I have hope!

Here, here! I have I believe the same GPA but my HESI score was high so I'm banking on that. Here's to hope!! Keep a positive mind set.

I also have a questions guys. I know that after we get out acceptances that we will be taking a CPR class. But what if I'm already CPR certified? I have my certification for another 2 years with American Red Cross already.

Calculate just the pre reqs you may have a higher gpa with the 5 classes only.
