Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.
I think I have a 3.2? I forgot how to calculate. My grades aren't magnificent, I have an A in A&P2 lect and lab, B for A&P1 Lec and lab, and a C in English.
Also, this is a little bit of a personal post. I am so not on top of student loans..etc.. but I know I'm not able to work while I'm in the program IF I get accepted... does anyone have any tips about loans? I called about an unsubsidized loan, and the form that is found on the BC website under fin aid says that "students admitted to a Health Sciences program which requires clinicals" that are independent can only take up to $4000. This is not enough to cover my classes and help with bills. Can anyone help?

Thank you!!!
im suuuuuppppppperrrr nevous as well. However, myself have a lot of excessive credits. I think its fine. I've never heard of that being a problem.
I have another concern. I have a excessive amount of credits in my degree audit, I was majoring in Ultrasound, then I switched to nursing and finished my AA and paid everything out of pocket. I don't know how BC works, but at MDC they disqualify you for that reason. I guess and asking too many questions, I better stay quiet LOL

We do not look at excess credits. Keep in mind though that you have to have and maintain an overall GPA of a 2.0 in order to start, and stay in the RN program.
Your GPA for the program will be 3.09! That should give you 6

Big issue if you go to Miami Dade College, they automatically disqualify you. I appealed like three times and got denied, so I ended up paying my entire AA in Pre-Nursing out of pocket. I'm also need to know more about loans, since I wont be working either.

You will want to talk to Financial Aid regarding loans. They will let you know what is available to you.
I wont be working either. I was just looking on BC website under the Financial aid tab. As for loans I know we can try to request $4,000 once we get our letters. It says someone who is admitted into the health science program with clinicals can request $4,000. of course you could request a regular loan I think they give about $2250 per semester at least that's what they gave me in the past. If I get accepted I'm also trying to apply for the broward workforce grant which is $8200. I think I'm going to go to meet Financial Aid next week for them to tell me what I can qualify for. Don't forget to fill out the application for BC scholorship on there website. App closes 4/2017. hope that helps.

Hey everyone,
I've been doing my CPR through 'Awareness Through Education' in Margate, off Atlantic Blvd & Rock Island. I've also done CEU's through her for work. She gives a discount for CEU bundles. The woman who owns this company, Doreen, is an RN and I think she's great. I met her through my mom who is in the Nursing field.
