Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.
My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.
My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0
wow it's about time the raised the GPA people getting people 3.0 are really waiting there money because they mostly drop. No offence but they need to bring in higher GPA applicants to be able to do this program. When they let people in with January I know they accept people with 2.5s
Yea that comment isn't called for because you don't know what people may be going thru each semester. Hopefully you are able to keep your 4.0 gpa through out the program and become more humble.
I applied for bridge but I know I didnt get accepted because my yeacher hadn't posted my grade. I didn'tget an email which pretty much confirmed that I am not in. But I will just apply for August.
Ughh sucks!! Well you will definitely get in for fall its only 3 month difference keep positive

gpa isnt everything. there are plenty of AN nurses who have become nurses. There are extenuating circumstances as to a low GPA.
Not everyone is lazy and didn't try hard enough. When my grandfather went through chemo for lung cancer, I missed a final due to taking him to an emerency dept from complications. The professor pulled me from the class an a UW, auto fail. My GPA dropped. All my classes were A's, B's, some C's.
character, work ethic, and study habits get you through.

That was a little rude .. You do not know anyone's life or story. I have a 2.8 because of classes I took 10 years ago and can't retake again because I have a passing grade so I took a chance. That doesn't mean I am going to fail out, it's a persons character and hard work that gets them through this program not a gpa. I know a few people with high gpa'a that have failed out.
