I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!
Thank you, I figure they'll let us know at some point, but I see this talk about polos and jackets, where is this info coming from? I rather get the stuff before hand to minimize the time I'll have to spend in lines at the bookstore.
Thanks again
You are required to buy the nursing student scrubs from the bookstore. Also as per the first day they will probably email us closer to the first day.
I'm not sure, but let me ask you, what uniforms are required and where did you get this information?
When we submitted all our paperwork, an associate dean looked at it and we asked her about uniforms and some book lists. I mentioned to her about North requires white polos and central is blue. And she said, it doesnt matter what color of polo you need. And she said scrubs should be worn at clinicals, and something required wearing it everyday? (i think she was talking about uniforms)
Wearing a polo (the one from the bookstore) at theory class is fine. With the scrubs, we need white socks that has to be high enough, she doesnt want to see any ankles on students. Hair should not touch your collar, tattoos should be covered. Booklists would be emailed to us with the syllabus i think a week/or two before class. But forgot to ask about the labcoats :/
Apreciate the info, they wouldnt even look at the paperwork when I turned it, even after I asked them if they could!
Thanks alot
