Broward College hopeful for May 2013 Nursing Program

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

My account still says Den-Transcript Not Evaluated even though all the transcript sections have a check next to them. I had to sign a Microbio waiver since I already completed it. Just getting a little worried since people's status have begun to turn to application in review.

When did you sign a waiver? I completed Micro last semester, but no one ever said anything about a waiver. All of my transcripts have been reviewed per the status page, but that might be because I pestered the living crap out of my health school advisor and I know she notated the system several times as I met the milestones. She was really wonderful to put up with my neurosis.

I would go talk to admissions...go in, do not call! I didn't sign a waiver either. I just took the course.

I already received a bachelor of science in Biology and took the upper lvl microbio at FAU. so i guess that's why they told me to sign some waiver for it. i'll give it til end of week to see if it changes. They may have not gotten to my account yet.

Hopefully they will all be approved soon.

My status just changed to Application in Review! It must have been in the last hour, because I sit here at my desk at work clicking on the link to check the status at least that often. Since I turned my application in on 1/15 hopefully this means they are getting to the bottom of the stack and everyone's statuses will be updated soon.

Ah ok, the Micro at BC is a 200 level course.

I think they probably do "in house" first, it's just easier. I'm sure it will be soon :)

Mine is in review as well. How many points did everyone else get? Because it says I only have 6.0 however I got As in Anatamy 1 & 2 and both labs. got C in english due to professor not likeing my interpretation of the stories, and an A in college algebra. seems a little low.

Don't quote me, but I believe the GPA for our May applications is calculated based on AP 1&2, AP 1&2 labs, English Comp, and Chemistry.

I dunno if that's true. Because why would they want us to have the Microbio before applying then? thought that was for new pre-reqs.

Even if that is true I got an A- in Chemistry. still doesnt explain why gpa points is 6 out of 16.

anyone else mind sharing their score?

supposedly from another thread 6pts is around 3.2 hmm..
