Broward College hopeful for May 2013 Nursing Program

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

Got the North Email.

Trying to create my schedule. Now I have to decide do I want Thursday off by scheduling Math on Friday. or do I want Thursday & Friday short days by scheduling math on Thursday.

I also Noticed we have a 4hr and 40min gap between Nursing Process I and Pharmacology class on Monday. Wish that as a bit shorter because I'll have to find something to do during that time.

You'll be studying, no need to worry about what to do during that time. :)

We will probably need to be studying, but I am also going to take the opportunity to work out at the fitness center to get ready to carry chunky patients around. Treadmill with my book open in front of me, sounds fun!

Did anyone else get charged an additional $13 from certified background. It said it was required to search all other names and counties. I'm thinking it was to probably search for me under my maiden name too?

No. Just the $38.

I hope you all saved the yellow copy from the drug screening. I made the poor mistake of thinking they would get the results and be done with it. But apparently they need the receipt to make sure you completed, which unfortunately I don't have. Gonna see if they have a copy.

Yellow copy? My receipt is the white paper.

As long as you have the receipt for your visit. I had to go back and get another copy :I

And wow Clinicals for 10 1/2hrs x2 a week. That is going to be a long two days >_

What did you all enter for the employment section on certified profile. It returned mine and said I need to enter different information.

I think it means past employment so I entered my former job.

Anybody knows if we need different parking decal for different BC campus? I have the central one because I have only been there. But now I have to change to North or South. Thanks

They are all the same. You'll just need a new one when they expire.
