Broward College hopeful for May 2013 Nursing Program

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

Question: do we need a flu shot if it is not flu season? This part in the paperwork confused me.

I was confused about this as well. Since the original paper work they showed us at orientation didn't require a flu shot. I have never had one and I never get sick. I know I already need to get TB test and most likely the tetorifice. So the less shots that day the better <_>

Got my tetorifice shot today. Boy oh boy it hurts sooooo bad!! Also got my TB. That was nothing. No pain. Not to mention blood drawn for the titers.

Did anyone else get charged an additional $13 from certified background. It said it was required to search all other names and counties. I'm thinking it was to probably search for me under my maiden name too?

Can someone please explain how registration works tomorrow. First of all, the summer term is not located in the drop down menu under add/drop. I'm guessing that won't appear until 8 am? Secondly, you can only enter up to five reference numbers and we have six to enter.

Also you north people have orientation before classes start.

I find it odd I only received north's information and not south's but thanks to some wonderful friends I have south's too.

Trying to create my schedule. Now I have to decide do I want Thursday off by scheduling Math on Friday. or do I want Thursday & Friday short days by scheduling math on Thursday.

I also Noticed we have a 4hr and 40min gap between Nursing Process I and Pharmacology class on Monday. Wish that as a bit shorter because I'll have to find something to do during that time.
