Broward College hopeful for May 2013 Nursing Program

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

Stacie29, I was just thinking the same thing about registration. Who do we hassle with all of our questions!?! I need first names and direct lines ASAP! I was thinking the email would answer more questions and leave less room for confusion, but it seems to have made me crazier!!

Hi. Just want to ask anybody here who has taken their HSC courses already in broward college?What are the courses names/course codes.Because I saw under bc nursing requirement FAQ, this is the list I saw(hsc0691,hsc0692,hsc0591,hsc0522,hsc0405)But under Continuing Education this is the list (hsc0691,hsc0591,hsc0522,CAE0528)Sorry to confuse you with my question. The difference I saw is the "Prevention of Medical Course" one is HSC and other one is CAE??

Yea a bit confused how we go about signing up for classes since it didn't give us any info how to do that and what classes we need. Also need info on those classes we need to take before the program begins. Time to start reviewing anatomy and physiology again.

They didn't give us any info yet, but that's one of the reasons for the pre-admission session. Per the email "At the session, you will be provided with specific information for enrolling in the Nursing Program." Maybe they'll do it for us at the session, there's about a months time between that and the start of the program. :]

They are certificate courses found in continuing education. Go to the nursing admissions page and the info for what courses needed are there.

I just went on Broward website and I don't see nursing admissions. Could you send me the link? And do we have to complete the certification before the meeting?

HSC0591 - HIV/AIDS

HSC0522- TB/OSHA/ Hep

HSC0405 - CPR

HSC0691 - Domestic Violence

HSC0692 - Prevention of Medical Errors

If you go to the main website, go to admissions then health admissions.

They have to be completed by beginning of the program, not the preadmission session. You have plenty of time. Can also be done on ceufast.com
