:yeah::heartbeat:nurse:

Don't worry about your physical exam. I did mine last week. They weight u with ur clothes on. They only take ur measurements, ur vital signs, and some blood, so they can do the titers. That is all. Depending on your results, you either need or not the immunizations.

Thanks for the input:) So where did you end up going for your physical? (And which location if it's a chain?)

I went to a solantic urgent care clinic. You can fund one close to you on their website.

Hi!

Shoes have to be all white. At the beginning of the program they don't even like it if you have a Nike check with color. They need to have backs to them and need to be nice and clean. It really depends on your instructor. Some care whether they are all white or not.

I was told by someone in the program currently, who has the same teacher for Proc 1 and 2 lecture that we will have, that we need to have all white, leather shoes with no colored markings at all. And, if they have laces, they must be washed and kept immaculately clean, just like the shoes. I was also told that we need to wear our uniforms the first day of class. I bought mine already. The cashier at the bookstore said they sell out VERY QUICKLY. This is just stuff that I've heard. We will also need badge holders for our IDs and CPR cards. Got my textbooks on Amazon for pretty reasonable prices.

On our Broward schedules, it says clinicals are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6:30-6:30. Are they 2 days a week? Why did I think they were only one day a week?

I've heard around that we're allowed to wear a different brand of pants other than those from Broward, as long as they are in the same color, but I want to confirm this from someone who officially knows- who has done it themselves, or heard officially, or knows someone who currently is doing it.

If anyone is able to answer this question for me, where did you find your scrub pants, and what color turned out to be the matching color in that brand?

Also- I want to make 100% SURE this is a policy accepted in Central campus, obviously; it may be okay at South but not Central, or vice versa, I don't know. :)

Who else is taking prof K. For nursing process 1?

I am...should I be scared? Lol

Hahaha I don't know maybe we should be. Lol just kidding but I heard she's tuff but a good teacher! If anyone has any input on her I'd love to hear just to be as prepared as I can be come January.

I did mine at Solantic Urgent Care in Pompano Beach. I paid $300 for the physical exam, tetorifice shot, TB, and all the titers. Now, I just need one more shot for immunization and that will be all. Yeahhh : )

I am.

I called them before I had done my registration. A lady told me that only in the first week we'll be going both days for clinicals. For the next weeks, it will be either Tuesdays or Wednedays.

I'm taking her too! I read her ratings on ratemyprofessors, and they weren't great, but it seemed like maybe the people who wrote them just couldn't keep up with the work-although they did keep mentioning she 'couldn't teach' and her 'ego'...hmm. Well, it's not like we had a choice! :/ I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I myself am pretty religious, and my sort of phrase that I try living by is, 'The Lord will never give you more than you can handle'. That, and the WWII poster that was never handed out, 'Keep Calm and Carry On' :)

Anyone want to meet up the day or so before classes for coffee at Starbucks?
